Gettin' Started

Okay, I have succumbed to having a blog. I have loved reading everyone's blogs, so I thought I would join in. I thought this will be a good way to remember the things we do as a family and our ward family.

Ava's First Birthday

Ava Kate Jackson turned 1 years old on June 13, 2008. Tara and Cory had a family birthday party for her at the park. It was a beautiful day and she got lots of nice presents. It is so fun to see them grow and develop.

Father's Day

On Father's day we all went over to Krin and Court's house for dessert. We gave out cards and gifts to AJ. We were all sitting around waiting to here from Meg and Tyler cause we knew she was in labor. So finally Tyler text us with the news - of Judson. I made my Pretzels for all the guys in the ward and we passed those out after Sacrament meeting. It was a good Father's Day for AJ becoming a new grandpa again. The grandkids love him so much. He is such a good father and husband. We all love him so much. He is such a good example to us all.

New Grandson

Megan and Tyler had our fourth grandchild in Richmond, VA. Judson Scott Williams was born on Father's Day, June 16, 2008. He weighed 8 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 inches long. We flew out to Virginia the following day. Tyler picked us up from the airport and took us right to the hospital. It is a little weird to see your youngest becoming a mother herself. She did wonderful and loves being a mother. He is so cute and he actually has a lot of hair, which doesn't happen much in our family.

Carter's Third Birthday

On JULY 1st, our oldest grandchild turned three. He had a lot of his friends over for a birthday party. It was a wild event. Now I know why we have our kids when were young. Tara loved it and can't wait until next year.

Fourth of July Weekend

Our Fourth of July started with AJ getting up really early and going on a hike by himself. He went up by Brighton and these are some of the pictures he took while up there. That evening we went out to Cory and Tara's and watched fireworks. They bought the legal kind, but their neighbor around the corner from them had evidently gone to Wyoming. They put on a wonderful display for us. Then on Saturday we went to the Kearns pool and swam with Court, Krin and Elsie, Cory, Tara, Carter and Ava. Then they all came over for a Barbecue.

Swimming at the Margetts

On July 8th our family home evening was at the Margett's swimming pool. We had such a fun time there and for the first time no one threw the bishop in. Yeah.

Babysitting Carter and Ava

Friday, July 11th Cory and Tara asked us to babysit while they went to the Temple. So we took Carter and Ava outside, and let them jump. Carter jumped the whole time and turned black in the process. For some reason our trampoline gets people black. I have scrubbed it at least 3 times but to no avail. It was a nice evening to spend with the grandkids. We tired Carter out so that he slept in the next morning til 9 am. His parents were happy about that :)

Floating the Provo River

On Saturday July 12th for our ward activity - we floated the Provo River and then ate lunch. We had about 40 kids come and I know everyone had a great time on such a hot day.

Swimming at the Kearns Pool

Since Megan and Tyler were here we decided to go swimming at the Kearns Pool. And it was HOT! Then Les and Mary are here with their family from Arkansas and they all came over for dinner that evening.

Judson's Baby Blessing

Judson Scott Williams was blessed today July 20, 2008 by his dad, Tyler in his parent's ward in Salt Lake. We then had a nice family gathering at his parent's home in Sandy. So we took the opportunity to have a family picture taken. We are glad they were able to come to Utah for their
baby blessing and be able to spend time with their families.
