Elsie's Birthday

On Sept. 4th we celebrated Elsie's third birthday with a yummy pizza lunch, opening of her gifts and then singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her and letting her blow out her candles on her Dora the Explorer Cake.  THEN we all went swimming.  It was a great birthday!

Final Goodbye MV 9th Ward

We met with the Stake President on Aug. 18th and were told we were going to be released from the YSA.  We cried, he cried and it has been really sad and hard.  We lost a lot of sleep and have just felt an emptiness inside.  We have thoroughly loved our call of being with the YSA of the Mountain View 9th ward. We love those kids as if they were our own.  And it's just hard now to not be a part of their lives.  We have so many cherished memories that we will never forget. So many special spiritual experiences that we have grown from. AND so many wonderful eternal friendships that mean so much to us.  The one highlight was we were able to have a goodbye open house at our home. The kids came and visited, swam and got in the hot tub.  It truly was a special evening and meant so much to us to have so many come...past and present ward members. WE LOVE YOU!

Cory's Birthday

On Aug. 18 Cory turned 30 years old. His wife planned a wonderful party for him at our home on Saturday.  She catered the food from a Mexican restaurant (Cory loves Mexican food) and she planned on us doing a ROAST for payback of all the things he has done to us over the years, especially his sisters.  Tara got a picture from me of Cory before going on his mission and that is what she had them put on the cake. He always hated that picture. Then we enjoyed swimming. It was a really nice evening.
