My Birthday and Our Anniversary

Last Friday the 12th we celebrated my birthday by going down to Provo and going to the Brick Oven and then to the BYU/Fresno State Basketball game.  It was really fun.  The Marriott Center was packed and the half-time show was awesome and the Cougars won.  So it was a great evening!

Then yesterday the 17th was our Anniversary and we celebrated that by going to Texas Roadhouse who by the way has the best house salad.  We came home afterwards so AJ and Cory could give Ty a blessing before he went into surgery this morning and we had Carter and Ava spend the night.  The surgery was successful and he is recovering nicely.  I love my husband so much and it has been a magnificent 32 years.

Halloween Party

On Friday, October 30th we had our annual HALLOWEEN PARTY.  This year we had it at Krin and Court's place.  We had our Chicken Chilli, and appetizers along with pumpkin squares and cupcakes.  Megan had games for us and it turned out to be a very fun evening.

Our California Trip

On Sept. 24th we left in the morning and headed to Orangevale, CA to stay with AJ's brother Logan and his wife Shauna.  We went out to dinner that evening and had a great visit with them.  The next morning we went to a State Park that as about the mining for gold.  And Logan told us and showed us about a Mormon relative that was involved.  On Sunday we went to Church with them and then headed to Tiburon, CA to visit my sister Jackie and her husband Bill.  On Monday morning AJ & I took a ferry from Tiburon over to San Francisco so we could go to Alcatraz.  We got there before our tour started so we walked down to Fisherman's Wharf.  We then toured Alcatraz and then headed back on the ferry in the afternoon.  That evening we had dinner on the waterfront in Tiburon and then Tuesday morning AJ, Jackie and Bill went golfing.  We then drove over to the Golden Gate Bridge and went to a beach and walked along it and then drove around some more and drove through Saucilito and went to dinner again on the waterfront.  We got up really early Wednesday morning and drove over to Yosemite National Park where we spent Wednesday and Thursday there.  Thursday afternoon we left the west side of Yosemite and drove to Tonapah, NV...which is a dive if we had know it was only 6 hours away from West Jordan, and we hadn't make reservations...we would have kept on going.  AJ woke me up at 4:30 our time and we took off for home Friday morning.

                      As we drove around a corner there was a bear in the road and
                      he scrambled across and up the rocky side.  AJ got this picture as
                      he scurried away.

                          This was a l mile hike down which wasn't bad and then you had to
                           make the climb back up that was a little harder.  Luckily it was all
                           in the shade.  The weather was in the 90's while we were there.
                                                  

                   Had AJ stop and pull over and got these pictures as we were driving
                   away Thursday afternoon.  Yosemite was a really beautiful place.  It was
                                          a very nice trip.
