June Happenings

June was filled with a lot of swimming, graduations, and birthdays.

Judson's Preschool Graduation

                                          They put on a circus. He was a tiger.

I don't have any pictures but a few days later was Ava's birthday and she had a party at her gymnastics place where she takes lessons.

 At the end of the month we always celebrate our birthdays for the month. We have Court, Ava and Judson.  My sister and her husband came for a visit and so we had a swim get-together and celebrated that day.  It was windy again and so we ate in our detached garage.

Master Bedroom/Bath DONE

WE ARE FINALLY DONE!!!!!  My fan was on backorder but we finally got it and AJ was able to get it up last Saturday.  After painting the bedroom and bathroom once and not liking it. I painted it again and really love this color.  We got a new bedroom set our old one we had for over 30 years.  I love this.  We ordered it through Direct Source Furniture.  So they actually didn't have it in stock but they order for you and it comes to their warehouse where you can go look at it an make your decision.  So just by looking at pictures on the internet we got it.  I love it. Their prices are very reasonable and would use them again. It is not something that my kids would ever get but I like traditional pieces. We had a white/gold fan that really needed changed out.  I plan on spray painting my old fan and changing the one in the den out.

 Found this floor design at Shag-Rug-La and took a pic of it while picking out my carpet.  So Greg was able to do it for us.

Carter's Kindergarten Program

Even though Carter will be in school until the end of June they had their end of the year kindergarten program in May.  They let each child walk across the stage dressed up in what they want to be when they grow up or a favorite outfit.  Carter chose his Indiana Jones outfit because he wants to be an archeologist when he is older.  Then they sang several fun songs having to do with math.  I got to see his poster/report on Lions displayed in the hall and his classroom. I'm so glad I was able to go. 

Mother's Day

We actually celebrated on Saturday before Mother's Day.  The weather was wonderful and we were able to enjoy an afternoon of swimming and then a barbeque.  We are so blessed to be able to have all of our kids and their spouses and grandchildren live close to us.  It is so fun to get together and see how the cousins interact.  They all love to be together.

AJ's Birthday

On Sunday, April 29th we celebrated AJ's 59th birthday. Next year will be a big one. We had everyone over for a barbeque and enjoyed being outdoors.  There was a little chill in the air but with the sun and the fire pit it turned out to be a great evening of jumping on the tramp and baseball, and running around the pool and trying to keep Ty off of the pool cover.

Basement and Main Bath Remodel

These bathrooms have a heated floor under the travertine.  It is so nice that it actually keeps the room warm if you keep the door closed.  So glad we put that in.  The cabinets are high now no more bending over especially for AJ.  Now I had to buy step stools for the grandkids but that is okay. I painted all of the bathrooms, my sewing room. We also had new carpet put in the three bedrooms and hallway at the one end of our home.  Still to come is our master bath.  We have a few things left to do.
