Carter's Birthday
It is so fun to have summer bithdays because you can have swimming parties. Carter and his friends came and swam and had such a fun time. Carter is showing off his braces he had put on the day before. They are such a good group of boys. They love swimming.
Opening his presents...
Blowing out his candles...
Fourth of July
We had Tara's parents come and also Greg Winder and his two little girls come spend the evening with us.
We enjoyed dinner, swimming, fireworks and then swimming after the fireworks when it was dark. That was the highlight of the day getting to swim when it was dark outside.
Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of them swimming with the pool lights on.
Former YSA's
We invited four couples who married while in the YSA ward and now have children of there own to come over for a Barbeque and swim get together.
Harper's Baby Blessing
Krin and Court had Harper Rae Jones' baby blessing on Sunday, July 13th. She is the best baby ever. She never cries and just is such a delight to have in our family.
July Birthday's
We celebrated our July birdthday, which includes Tara (who was sick and couldn't come), Megan, and Carter.
I tried a recipe from Pinterest for Kneaders Raspberry Bread Pudding. It was very time consuming but delicious. I don't know if I would make it again though.
This is the Place Heritage Park
I decided we needed to hurry and do our annual field trip and Carter and Ava were heading back to school on July 28th. So we picked July 23'rd which happened to be the hottest day of the year a whopping 103. We rented a 15 passenger van and headed up to This is the Place Heritage Park. We had other things planned no knowing how long we would spend there. But it turned out to be a wonderful day and we didn't leave until 5 pm.
Started out with the pony rides...
Mini Train Ride...
Making an arrowhead necklace...
Carter's first shave
Judson's turn...
Ava wanted a turn...
Checking out the bank....
Waiting for the Indian dancers....
Enjoying donuts....
We came home from there and had Wendy's for dinner some swimming, watched a movie until it got dark
and they could swim again in the dark. We had to tire them out. The four oldest slept downstairs and the four youngest upstairs, we got them ready for bed and laying in the bags around 10:15 pm....5 min. later when I went into the family room the little ones were fast asleep. It worked.
It was such a fun but tiring day. It was a great place to go with elementary age and younger age kids. So many fun things to do and see.
