On August 1, 2009 AJ and his company Pioneer Specialties celebrated 20 years of being in business. AJ always wanted his own business - so over these 20 years there has been a lot of hard work and long hours and his business has had its ups and downs, but all in all it has been a worthwhile endeavor and I'm proud of his accomplishments.
We had a party the night before at our house. Unfortunately our camera wasn't working at the time so we have no pictures, but I think everyone had a great time and enjoyed the yummy food. All of his employees, spouses and kids came and enjoyed a fun evening together.

Number Five is On the Way!
They got me!
Krin and Court came over several weeks ago for dinner and Krin said "I brought some cookies I had." I had Tunnel Vision that day -- all I could think about was that you couldn't have made those they are too perfect -- you must have got them from a baby shower you went to, you didn't make those....I kept going on and on until DUHHHHHH I got it. They are expecting a new little baby. I couldn't say anything until now, they were being cautious as Krin had a miscarriage last March and she hasn't felt very sick at all. But they went to the doctor on Tuesday and they saw the baby moving and heard the heartbeat. So hopefully all will go well and we will get to welcome a new grandchild into our family in early March.

Judson's First Birthday
On July 25th we celebrated Judson's First Birthday Party. He actually turned one on June 15th back in Virginia. So of course, we needed to celebrate here where all the rest of his family lives. Tara did a great job on making is Motorcycle cake. It was so fun for him to meet and play with his cousins. His is walking but is not as stable as they are. But I think he is enjoying being around them.

Mancation
The tradition is back. Several years ago, Cory and his Father-in-law Phil, and Adam(bro-in-law), Court, AJ, and other bro-in-laws decided to have a camping trip before the 4th of July. However, when Tara became pregnant with Carter and had him on July 1st that sort of ruined the outing (in a good way). So they decided this year to change the date and go up to Lyman Lake again. So they had their Mancation and we had girls night out with the kids. All in all I think everyone had a great time. Glad everyone got home safe and sound.

Carter & Ava's Birthday Party
On Saturday we celebrated Carter and Ava's Birthdays. Ava turned 2 on June 13th and Carter turns 4 on July 1st. Carter had a friend party earlier in the day. Tara rented a blow-up water slide and it was so much fun. I think they were a little overwhelmed with it all. It was a perfect evening and we had delicious food and Tara outdid herself making their cakes. She made Carter a BUZZ LIGHTYEAR Cake and Ave a Princess Crown Cake. It was so much fun for us to be a part of it.
Manti Pageant
This weekend was our summer activity for the Singles Ward. On Friday we headed down to the Manti Pageant. We got to set up tents on Pres. and Sister Hintze's yard for the kids to sleep in. We got a tutorial on raising turkeys we saw over a thousand baby turkeys. Later we headed over to the Stake Center for a Turkey Dinner (it was delicious) and then over to the temple grounds to say seats. We had quite a few kids coming after work. The next morning we headed over to the Palisades State Park for a yummy breakfast and a luau for lunch. The kids paddled around in several canoes and a paddle boat and played games. All in all I think all those that went had a great time. The pictures of a room are where AJ and I stayed it was called Cedar Crest Inn and it was a dive but it had a bed and a bathroom need I say more.

Yes or No?
What do you think? Look at the pictures down below. We have had dwarf burning bushes growing along the sides of our property. The one side has really struggled about every bush as died off and then new starts have started. SO we decided to do this rock garden with ornamental grasses. I just love this look. We've only done the one side. And the other side are the pictures you see down below. These bushes are actually doing okay. But should we take them out and put in the rock garden so both sides match????

It's Mine....
When the Margetts got their mission call they decided to sell all of their vehicles. This was their 3rd car that didn't get used very much, mainly for trips and ward outings. SO AJ told them we were interested. This is a 2000 Suburban with less then 50,000 miles on it. Can't beat that. I love it. It has a skylight, the window on the drivers side actually goes up and down without me pulling it up (which was so annyoing in my other vehicle everytime I went to the bank). It passed inspection (which my Tahoe never did until I went and got them to get the red service light off every year). The AC works great. Theirs a little TV and VCR for the grandkids and it seats 8. I love it and it's mine.

They love me....and I love them!
We had a beautiful sunshiney Mother's day. Our sacrament meeting was all about Mothers and the kids that spoke did such a great job. We also handed out my caramel chocolate pretzels for all the future mothers and mothers in the congregation. (It'become a tradition at least while we're there serving). We had a yummy breakfast for Linger Longer and then we made a Dutch Oven dinner for our family to come over and enjoy. All in all it was a wonderful day. Thanks to all my family, especially AJ.
AJ wrote me a beautiful poem and gave me the book Becoming Celestial Soulmates that I'm excited to read.

Krin, Court and Elsie knowing how much I enjoy the show Jon and Kate Plus 8 got me one of their new books--Multiple Blessings. Thanks!

Cory, Tara, Carter & Ava gave me a new Cheese Grater, a Salad Dressing Mixer, and a Snowman and Mitten Cookie Cutters for when we make sugar cookies at Christmas Time. Thanks!

Megan, Tyler and Judson sent this to me Soap and a Wallflower Outlet and Fragrance Bulbs from Bath and Body Works and the best card - that meant so much to me since a lot of our relationship is talking on the phone now. Thanks!

Babysitting
Over the last four days we have had Carter and Ava staying with us, while Cory and Tara went back to Richmond, VA and Washington, D.C. They were good little sports to be separated for so long. Their parents left last Firday and the other grandparents took care of them until Monday afternoon. I think they had a pretty fun time. The first few pictures are of them eating chocolate pudding. Yummy. Then Krin and I took them all to the playground. Last few pictures are of them putting on dress-up clothes. Their parents flew home last night and got here around 9:30 pm. WE all were excited to see each other.
